Upgrading.SocialEngine v2.20

SocialEngine is a social network platform that lets you create a social network on your website. Right out of the box, your social network will offer nearly all of the features found on today's wildly popular social networks.
UPGRADE.2.1->2.2
-
The upgrade from 2.10 to 2.20 involves replacing some of your PHP and TPL files, but no
changes to your MySQL database are necessary. You can perform the upgrade simply by uploading
all of the files and folders contained in the "/files" directory in this zip to your server
EXCEPT any of the "/uploads" directories and EXCEPT "/include/database_config.php", but this will overwrite any changes you've made to the
source code, templates, and language packs. If you want to preserve your changes, you can open
"changelog.html" in this zip to see exactly what files were changed in this update, and then
upload only those files to your server. Make a COMPLETE BACKUP before you begin.
DO NOT UPLOAD THE FILE /include/database_config.php FROM THIS PACKAGE!
UPGRADE.2.0->2.1

The upgrade from 2.00 to 2.10 involves replacing some of your PHP and TPL files, but no
changes to your MySQL database are necessary.

DO NOT UPLOAD THE FILE /include/database_config.php FROM THIS PACKAGE!
UPGRADE.1.X->2.0
-
The upgrade to 2.00 involves replacing all of your PHP, TPL, and CSS files. This means
that you will lose any changes you have made to these files. Unfortunately there is
no easy way to avoid this since we've made so many changes to the platform. If possible,
make a note about each change you've made in your current installation so that you can
reapply them after the upgrade process. Upload all of the files and folders contained
in the "/files" directory in this zip to your server EXCEPT the "/uploads_user" directory.
If you are upgrading from version 1.80 and below, upload the "/uploads_admin" directory
- if you are upgrading from version 2.00 and beyond, DO NOT upload this directory.
Do not upload install.html, license.html, upgrade.html, changelog.html, or the
contents of the "/install" directory.
- Upload the "/images" and "/include" directories in BINARY mode.
- Upload everything else in ASCII mode.
-
Upload the files upgrade.php and upgradesql.php to your server. These files can be found
in the "/upgrade" directory in this zip.
-
Set full permissions (CHMOD 777) on all files in the "/templates" directory.
Set full permissions (CHMOD 777) on the "/uploads_admin" directory.
Set full permissions (CHMOD 777) on the "/uploads_admin/ads" directory.
Set full permissions (CHMOD 777) "./include"
Set full permissions (CHMOD 777) "./include/mysqlcon.php" (if it exists)
Set full permissions (CHMOD 777) "./include/database_config.php" (if it exists)
-
Point your browser to where you uploaded upgrade.php, for example:
http://www.yourdomain.com/socialnetwork/upgrade.php
Follow the instructions given and run the upgrade script.
-
Remember to delete "upgrade.php" and "upgradesql.php" after your
upgrade has completed successfully. Leaving these files intact
poses a serious security risk!
upgrading.done
Enjoy ;)
